Why
Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is about being PRESENT and AWARE of what is going on RIGHT NOW. It's about paying CLOSE ATTENTION and LISTENING CLOSELY. to both our physical bodies and our emotions and feelings.

By practicing mindfulness, research shows we can be HAPPIER, CALMER, and have BETTER RELATIONSHIPS!

DEEP BREATHING!

Balloon Breathing
Do you have access to a non-inflated balloon? GREAT! Bring it along for the lesson. If not, have your pretend balloons ready for action!

Bubble Gum Breathing
Do you have a piece of chewing gum (and permission from your parents to chew it)? AWESOME! If not, get ready to practice acting out blowing some bubbles!

10:00-10:15
Belly Breathing
No equipment needed! Just bring yourselves and your lungs. Sit in your most comfortable chair. You can do this exercise ANYTIME and ANYWHERE!
